Rather than replacing the complete settee / armchairs, many people have saved hundreds of £££'s by choosing to have new foam fillings in their existing cushions. By replacing old foam, feather or hollowfibre fillings this will bring back the comfort you experienced when the item was new. Sometimes the new fillings are even better than their originals! Imagine no more "PLUMPING" up unsightly, tired / flat cushions. Whats more, old sagging cushions can end up giving you back problems, if they havn't already!

Below you will find descriptions and uses for various grades of foam. If you can’t find what you are looking for then please get in touch as there are many other grades that we can supply upon request. It's not only foam cushions we supply foam for. If you are unsure which grade to choose, or working to a budget we have other grades we use that can be tailored to your needs. NEW SERVICE BEING OFFERED Memory Foam with supportive base foam

BRAND NEW service for foam cushions ("Ultimate Luxury") a layer of memory foam laminated to a supportive base foam. Memory foam mattresses and toppers have increased in popularity over the last few years, and many people have experienced increased comfort from these mattresses. Comfort Solutions are now able to offer your replacement cushions to be filled with a layer of 2" (5cm) memory foam laminated to a high density supportive base foam.

For instance if the border on your cushion cover measures 5" (13cm) the replacement cushion would be a layer of 2" (5cm) memory foam laminated to 4" (10cm) high density, supportive base foam. Total depth of foam being 6" (15cm) which will make the cover appear to be domed rather than flat. Luxury Medium / Soft (R400 pink)

MOST POPULAR GRADE FOR replacing fiber or feather filled seat cushions. (No more "plumping up") It is a very supportive, high density foam with a luxurious soft comfort level. Because this foam is produced without fillers (tiny pieces of melamine) it will not break down like ordinary foam. It will maintain its original shape, bounce, comfort and density for many years. This softer grade of Reflex allows you to fit thicker foam into your covers without feeling as if you are perched high in the air when you sit down. For example if the depth of the cushion border (in between the piped edge, if it has one) measures 5" we would recommend that a 6" foam is used. This will ensure that the cover has the appearance of looking plumpish and not flat! We highly recommend this foam for cushions 13cm (5") and above. Luxury Medium Firm (R400H grey)

This high density foam is our most popular foam for seat cushion replacements which are anything between 10cm (4") and 13cm (5"). It can still be made up to any other depth. It also comes highly recommended by many of our existing customers. If you are looking for support, comfort and durability in a cushion depth of 4" - 5" then this foam is for you. It has the same qualities as the luxury Medium / Soft above, however it is graded as R400H (grey) and has a firmer feel. Because this foam is produced without fillers (tiny pieces of melamine) it will not break down like ordinary foam. It will maintain its original shape, bounce and density for many years. CM35 Standard Foam (darker pink)

This grade of foam is not as high a density as the REFLEX range but is still popular for seating grade. Perhaps you only want your new cushions to last a few years before replacing the whole settee or chair, then this is a good grade to choose. If you are unsure please call for expert, friendly advice. Standard - Firm Foam (V33H blue)

If you want to replace your seat cushion interior and would like it to be firm, then this grade is for you. It is still widely used by upholsterers as standard seat cushions especially for the elderly. However we feel that it just doesn't have the comfort level required for your favourite chair (unless you really are looking for a firm seat!). This grade of foam is suitable for three piece suites, armchairs, window seats, dining chairs and d.i.y. projects such as headboards etc.

Back Cushion Foam

This foam is ideal for replacing foam, fibre, or feather back fillings. Because your body doesn’t exert anywhere near as much pressure on a back cushion as it does on a seat cushion the foam needs to be soft as well as supportive. This lovely soft foam has a superbly soft feel. It will instantly transform the look of any sofa or chair. No more plumping up lumpy saggy cushions that flop out of shape the moment that you rest your back on them. NOTE: You will not find this grade of foam on the price calculator, as it is more difficult to measure back cushions due to required shaping. Memory/Visco Elastic Foam. Slow Release

Memory foam is an advanced Polymer cushioning. Through its sensitivity to temperature it will recognise your body shape and pressure. It will then adjust to conform to your individual shape providing optimum support, with minimum pressure on your body. Slow release visco elastic foam was originally developed to absorb the G force effects that astronauts experience during space flights.

Its unique properties were quickly recognised by the medical industry and used as cushioning on operating tables and hospital beds, it is now extensively used in the bedding industry to produce luxury mattresses and overlays for home use.
