- Carefully remove all packaging and allow your mattress or overlay to lay flat in the room your mattress will be remaining in. Preferably this should be a warm room for 4 – 6 hours before use.
- You may notice a slight odour when your item is first unpacked. This is neither unpleasant nor harmful to your health and will fade after a few days. Folding your bedding back during the day for the first few days will help to disperse the smell of newness.
- As with any new bed it may take a few days to get used to, however your will soon adjust to the new experience.
- Please remember that memory foam is heat sensitive. In rooms of less than 18 degrees your mattress or overlay will feel slightly firmer. It will soon soften once you have lain down and the memory foam has had time to absorb your body heat.
- Ensure that your new mattress is placed on a good solid base. A slatted bed base will be ideal as long as the slats are no more that 8 cm apart. If your bed is a divan with a sprung top surface please make sure that it is in good condition as if it is worn the mattress may feel unstable and you may experience problems with roll together.
- Memory foam mattresses and overlays do not need to be turned, however it will be beneficial to rotate it on a monthly basis.
- From time to time you may wish to remove the cover from your overlay for washing. The cover can be machine washed at 40 degrees.
